Tree Surgery under the Trading Standards Safe Trader Scheme
Westfield Tree Services Limited recently received a phone call enquiry from a Mrs B of Skelmersdale, regarding Domestic Tree Surgery, after obtaining the contact details from the Lancashire County Council Trading Standards Safe Trader Scheme.
Site Visit and Inspection
Mrs B being concerned about the health and safety of a mature Cherry tree, Prunus Kanzan, situated in the front garden of her property and adjacent to the public highway. The Westfield Tree Services Limited Arboricultural Consultant arranged to visit site, inspect the Cherry and produce a list of any recommendations necessary to abate any health and safety concerns.
The inspection of the Cherry did not identify any major areas of concern, significant works or risk as a result of the trees condition.
Removal of Deadwood and Ivy
The removal of deadwood from the crown was recommended along with the cutting of Ivy that was rapidly colonising the main stem of the Cherry. Ivy can have a number of detrimental effects on the health and safety of trees.
Mrs B commissioned the recommended pruning works and thanked Westfield Tree Services Limited for the prompt, professional, courteous and understanding level of service.
