Stump Grinding

What is Stump Grinding?

The tree stump is the base of the stem where is meets the upper section of the tree root ball.

Not all tree removal requires the removal of the tree stump.  In certain circumstances, i.e., tree removal for development purposes, the stump may need to be removed.  This is undertaken by grinding the stump to a predetermined depth below ground level, say 200mm.

Grinding operations create a mulch like substrate being a mix of soil and wood grindings.  This material being used to backfill the hole and levelled.  Any surplus being removed.
